Using MTL in the context of real world for translating Actually Important Things is a no-no, I can agree on that. But using MTL in the context of translating Fun Times Free Porn is fine.

Reading and understanding context is important. I'm not telling people to unconditionally LIKE MTL. I'm saying, I edited and proofread this to make it make sense. Go and read the MTL slop shit that some brainless kid plugged into DeepL and then exported dumbly without checking anything - it is total shit compared to my work. That's why I am making a distinction. I'm not saying it is perfect, but I am saying my work is far better than that, which it is.

Nah. I keep saying context is important. People are climbing out of the bushes to hate - it's an irrational, destructive, toxic behavior that helps no one. I've seen these same users cry loudly so much about imperfect translations in their free porn, it just seems stupid. Nowhere did I say the translation is perfect. Ok. About your translation note, specifically the last sentence...
I get that you don't like people who dislike MTLs. But using Autism as an insult is just plain shitty.

And MTLs are lazy. So why should we be forced to like them?

Learn Japanese if you want to translate. It's a good life skill to have as well and would help speed up your translating process. I'm glad that you're at least proofreading to see if it makes sense (which is more than what half of the MTL'd crap on this website does), but there's a VERY good reason that MTL's are typically hated.

I used to teach English overseas. I'd have kids that tried using MTL for sentences they couldn't quite translate. The results were often incredibly mistaken in the current context, yet made sense in some contexts. So MTLs typically result in the meaning being entirely lost.

And once more: don't insult people who don't like MTLs. And DEFINITELY don't use Autism as an insult. That's just being a total douche.

Also, PonyPonyPonyPony was pointing out a TL mistake on your point. You REALLY need to learn how to take criticism well.

Thing is... you really are using autism as an insult. And you're using it because you seem to hate criticism.

And PonyPonyPonyPony was right about your translation mistake. Using "what" doesn't work with context. It's more closer to "um", as he is essentially trying to start the conversation, not asking a question. This is part of why I suggest studying Japanese if you want to translate things accurately. MTL doesn't tend to catch nuances like this. And it's easy to miss this if you can't understand the language yourself.

And as I mentioned, you are at least proofreading in an attempt to see if things make sense, which is more than a lot of the slop here. But you still miss things here and there. And people pointing that out will help you with translations in the future. Take the criticism and learn from it, rather than calling people autistic because they are correcting you.
